First off want to say the Sport dog Trainer is an absolutly great product. I have had the product a lil over a week now and have had great success with training my 2 dogs. Before buying this system, my golden retriever pup was very hard headed, wouldnt listen, and would run away the second he was give a chance. Well after a few months of bad behavior, I decided to get a shock collar. Well I went to a local farm supply store and bought the only 1 that they had that came with a remote, it was a sport dog system, but was only setup for 1 dog. Well after using it on my golden retriever, my wife decided we needed one for our pitbull. Later that night I went online and searched the sport dog line of products and found this setup. Ordered it and it was on my doorstep 3 days later. Well after ripping open the box like a christmas present, I was pleasently suprised to find 2 collars, 1 black and 1 orange, waterproof remote, charger for the collars and remote, and the typical instructions. There was also the untypical training DVD in the box. Well After reading the instructions and finding out that everything needed to be charged for 24hours, and watching the DVD, me and the wife went to work training our 2 trouble makers. Well the first time we let them out our retriever shoot out of the house like a rocket, well I started at level 2 and worked my way up on the shock intensity. By the time I got my dogs attention I was on level 5 and he was still running, so I went all the way to level 8 and zapped him real good, needless to say, he yelped, turned around and made a bee line for the back door. After watching that, my pitbull decided he didnt want to try his luck. Now a week later, both my dogs are better behaved and I can take them places I couldnt before, it has been nice to not have to leash them all the time, and now in the mornings when I let them out all I need to do is open the door and let them out, meanwhile I drink a cup of coffee and stand in the door way with the remote, which by the way come preset to control the 2 collars independently. To conserve battery life, at night we turn there collars off and then turn them back on in the morning before we let them out. Since we have had this system, I have only have to recharge them 2 times, and thats because the forst few days my dogs were getting zapped alot. I would recommend this system to anybody with dogs that wont listen, might take a few days but they will learn. Now when I say something to my dogs they listen, and if they are being bad or not listening and need to be zapped, they will immediatley come over and sit right next to me. This system is a blessing for my wife because now she can control our dogs without being dragged through the back yard. Again a great product and it works great, and all the parts are completly sealed off and waterproof, which with dogs that love water is a nice addition.
