Product Description The Come With Me Kitty Harness gives you gentle, comfortable control of your cat or kitten, while allowing her to explore the world outside your door. The patent-pending design allows for a gentle pressure on the leash to cradle your cat, thus, restraining any forward motion without putting pressure on the delicate throat area. The cradling effect is calming to most cats, providing safe and easy control for you. The adjustable sternum slide allows you to create a custom fit for your cat's body type, while the dual adjustment points on the girth strap allow a snug, safe fit. The shoulder straps glide through the two D-rings on the back, allowing an increase of tension (when needed) to restrain your cat without choking. The bungee leash provides a little extra "give" to soften the effect of kitty reaching the end of the leash.

Best Thing I Ever Bought for My Cats August 16, 2010 C. B. Farrell (California, USA) I bought two of these--a medium size for my smaller cat, and a large for her brother. (They are 2 1/2 years old.) Both harnesses fit perfectly, and are surprisingly easy to put on. After just a couple times outdoors, they both now associate the harness/leash with big fun, and meow eagerly when I pick it up.
However, given most cats' ability to get out of collars and into trouble, I'm very cautious about how I take them outside.
First, I double check to make sure the harness is snug without choking them. ;-) I only take them out in the backyard--never on the street--to reduce the risk of them being startled by passing cars, etc. (I'm lucky to have a large backyard.) I only take out one cat at a time. I keep my eyes on them at all times, to see what they're looking at and where they're planning to go next.
I don't let them go under patio furniture or bushes--any place where the leash could get tangled and I could lose control. I use a tennis racket (per a video I saw on You Tube) to gently guide them away from such areas. I don't let them roll over (which they tend to want to do at first), in order to prevent the leash from getting tangled under them. Finally, I try to stay behind them at all times, so they can't back out of the harness.
This sounds like a lot of work but it's really not. And by using all these precautions, I feel pretty confident of a safe outdoor experience. The larger of the two cats did get spooked once and ran back into the house with me jogging along and tugging the leash from behind him. I decided to keep the perimeter of his "walk" area smaller until he gets more used to outdoor sounds. (We've only been going out a couple weeks now).
Bottom line: this is an excellent product that does what it says. But nothing is foolproof, and careful management and observation of your cat will help ensure his safety outside. It's so much fun to see them drink in all the smells, the fresh air and the sunshine!
kitty harness August 10, 2010 L. Davis (new jersey) Well, I like the idea, but it is really difficult to get my cats accustomed to the harness, and I took it slowly. It's hard to get it on and set without constricting the movement of my big cat's front legs. But, he's pretty affable about it. My little female cat absolutely positively hates the harness; I wonder if these are the types of "gadgets" that you need to start using when they are kitties...it's so frustrating to have a "fight" each time I need to put these on to take the two of them outside...but these are sturdy and well-made, and the cats love playing with and tugging on the expandable leashes.
Cat escaped, still missing July 18, 2010 sfrq My cat was spooked while sitting next to me in our back yard, wearing this thing. He escaped in 2 seconds flat and is still missing six hours later. Useless. As effective as tying him with dental floss.
Be very careful to fasten it securely!! May 24, 2010 Connie H. (USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We have used this harness with our male cat several times a week for over 2 years now. First I'd like to address the question of size: our cat weighs 11 pounds and the medium-sized harness is now a bit tight around his body but there is plenty of room around his neck, so we had planned to replace it with a size large. Now, though, we will be purchasing a different brand because he has managed to wriggle out of this one twice. The first time, it was probably set far too loose around his neck (in other words, our own fault) - my husband said the cat was able to somehow take 2 hops and shake himself free of it. That was about a year ago, and fortunately the cat returned home about an hour later. Today, it happened again, but I was fairly certain it was tight enough when I put it on (obviously, I was wrong). I was sitting in a chair outdoors and the cat was in the harness, walking around as much as the leash would allow. He went underneath the chair for maybe 5-10 seconds, then went running away, free of the harness. Once again, we were lucky because I was able to catch him before he got out of the yard. So while it has served us well MOST of the time, it is just too scary to think of losing him if he gets loose again, as it apparently happened to one of the other reviewers of this product. Until we find a replacement, we will be very careful to cinch this one securely around his neck so that he cannot squirm free of it.
Excellent for what it's used for. May 8, 2010 Renae A. Morrow (Kennewick, WA, United States) This is an excellent item for walking a cat, if that's really possible. More like they are walking you. But this is effective and perfectly adjustable for this purpose. I tried them all and this is the only one that actually fit.
