 Not what I hoped for. November 24, 2008

I purchased this item because my 40# puppy kept getting tangled up in her conventional tether. I hoped that by being retractable, this would alleviate that problem. Which it did, up to a point.
The cable is less than 20' long and did not allow the range of freedom I would have liked when we were forced to use it. Furthermore, the tension on the rewind spool clearly made her uncomfortable. This problem was reduced somewhat by hooking it to a harness instead of her collar.
Unfortunately, this item only comes in one size. A lighter, longer cable with less tension would have worked out better in my case.
Otherwise, the unit is well made and works as well as I expected with a product made by Flexi-lead.

I purchased this Flexi-6 Automatic Tie-Out, and I cannot tell you how pleased I am with it. It's VERY durable; I use it for my black lab, who is quite spunky, and he never gets tangled up any more. I would highly recommend it.
